Scott Newgent of TReVoices in conversation with Stella O’Malley

By Mary Laval

Transman Scott Newgent, founder of TReVoices (Trans Rational Educational Voices) and author of a powerful Newsweek article on the brutal reality of medical transition, sat down for an hour of animated conversation with Stella O’Malley.

Watch the video here.

The pair discussed gender dysphoria, lesbianism, homophobia, detransitioners, the legal realities of trans medicine, the need for rational trans people to speak up about the pros and cons of their lived experiences, activism, cosmetic surgery, coping skills to get through life, and the importance of balanced and compassionate mental health care for gender-questioning children and adults. They both agreed with the wisdom of the famous Jon Kabat-Zinn quote, “Wherever you go, there you are,” and how this concept has been lost within the gender ideology movement.

As Scott would say: “It’s time to start screaming.”
