To My Fellow Detransitioners
By Christopher B. Ostrowski
It has been two and a half years since I posted a video online expressing that the transgender path I’d been on for over six years was over; that I was ex-transgender, and detransitioning. A lot has happened since then.
My wife Grace, (who was on testosterone for six months because she also was swept into the LGBTQIA movement, as I was) and I conceived a child and had a baby girl. Having a family, and starting over again (my eldest is 20, and Grace’s kids are 15 and 13) really drives home how important biology is; how innately we are wired to be male and female and how we best function together, as intended, instead of trying to hack our bodies to strive for some ideal we created in our head, or were misled to believe.
My breast implants, which were causing me tremendous social anxiety, became such a negative focus for me. I (having been in the medical field for years and feeling competent) used needle catheters and drained the 450cc of saline from each side, leaving just the capsules.
I had some pain a month or so later and had a CT done at a hospital where they said I should get the capsules removed, but they didn’t see any abscesses or issues. I feel better socially, but they still irritate my body. Surgeons are expensive, but perhaps someday I’ll be able to get them removed.
I did get my legal name changed back to my birth name, which was a long time coming and a huge relief, but still need a therapist to write a letter for me to take to the Social Security Administration (SSA) to change my federal sex marker back to male.
Our health has been in some decline lately, but we keep faith that what is meant for us is in step.
This Detrans Awareness Day 2024, I want to remind everyone that this society is set up, from social media to the larger media, to marketing and advertising to prey on our desires, and drive obsession in extreme cases, so we are compelled to act a certain way, to buy a product, or even transition our bodies because of an insidious fantasy that we can be the opposite sex.
The scaffolding of these lies and the billions that go into them shouldn’t detract us from seeing the ultimate authenticity, our God-given nature, and the love that is possible. We should seek love and good, and what does not need mutilation to be praised.
I hope my fellow detransitioners are finding their way back to loving themselves and helping others see the truth about the lack of safeguards or consistency in healthcare regarding these issues.
Genspect will be holding a free webinar for Detrans Awareness Day on Tuesday March 12th at 7pm EST.
